About
Musique Royale welcomes Capella Regalis Choirs back to historic St John’s Anglican Church in Lunenburg this December for their celebrated annual performance “A Chorister’s Christmas”. Taking place on Saturday December 16th at 4 pm, the concert will be directed by Nick Halley and Vanessa Halley, with organ accompaniment by Paul Halley. New for this year’s concert repertoire is music animated by the spirit of the Winter Solstice. Join us for a unique musical celebration of Christmas that weaves together works from a 12th-century female composer, early folk music from Appalachia (USA), traditional German and French carols, and instrumental-choral tributes to the coming of light in the darkness.
This concert is a highly anticipated event that is enjoyed by families on the south shore and attendees of many ages. Proceeds from the concert go to Lunenburg Interchurch Food Bank and Second Story Women’s Centre. Two more performances take place on Sunday December 17th at the Cathedral Church of All Saints in Halifax, for ticketing details, visit capellaregalis.com.
