About
Musique Royale is delighted to be working with Michelle Roy from Two Feathers Mi’kmaq Designs who is organizing the sixth annual events for Truth and Reconciliation Day in Liverpool. The weekend events all take place at the Hank Snow Grounds at 148 Bristol Ave in Liverpool. All ages are welcome and all events are free. On Wednesday September 30, the day starts at 11 am with speeches and stories followed by the Mawio’mi Grand Entry at 12:30 pm.
The event brings together knowledge keepers, dancers, singers, drummers, and artisans for two days where attendees of all ages are welcomed to learn and enjoy Mi’kmaw culture. Head female dancer is Jesse Benjamin, head male dancer is Brady Googoo, junior head female is Rory Meuse, and junior head male is Kaelem Omolaja. This is a dry, alcohol-free event.
